One of the first things that you will do when the baby arrives is feed him….. and yes for a long time feeding your baby the right balanced nutrition will be one of your top priorities. While you are thinking…“Has my child drunk her milk today….. has she eaten her apple, is she getting her daily 5?"….. your 3 year old will ask you “Mummy can I have some crisps!!” Well, whatever!!!

Some Yummy Mummy tips:

  • Breastfeeding can be really hard at first, but it is the healthiest option for your baby. Simply because it has all the antibodies and vitamins to protect your little one and help him grow. If you can breastfeed you should as it also helps you bond immensely with your baby.
  • If you want to bottle feed use an iron based formula and your baby will be nutritionally sound.
  • After five months you can introduce your baby to her first foods. Baby cereals, bite sized pasta, pureed cooked lentils, beans, peas, vegetable and fruit purees are all a great start.

Yummy Mummy Products:
Feeding your child is by no means an easy task. But I have put together some really cool accessories that can help you. If you are breastfeeding, try the Pregnancare capsules that will provide you with your essential intake of vitamins and folic acid. Try the Breastfeeding Care Pack by Motherlove and indulge in the Nursing Pillow from John Lewis. Especially check out the Feeding Essentials by Tommee Tippee available from John Lewis that has all the baby bottles, weaning bowls and cutlery sets, that you will need. Happy Feeding!!!

What’s in it for the Yummy Mummy? Joy of seeing your full-fed, satisfied baby!!
